Veritair has 28 years of public transport, utility and police flying experience on Eurocopter BK117, Bolkow BO105 and AS355 helicopters. Veritair also leases and operates the Cardiff Heliport as its main operating base.

Cardiff Heliport owned by Cardiff County Council leased in its entirety and managed by Veritair. It was opened by HRH Prince of Wales in March 2000. Both the corporate HQ for Veritair and a public facility for helicopters visiting the City of Cardiff. This provides Veritair with a long term secure business base. A helicopter base of unequalled quality from which a superior service can be provided to Veritair customers.

Our main onshore activities include a longstanding UK Broadcaster contract. Originally for the operation of Helitele but since 1990 in support of development and calibration of Digital Television and Radio coverage both within UK and abroad ( Oman, Cyprus, Eire, Belgium).

Veritair’s current and longstanding load lifting activity is with QinetiQ on range support and the recovery of the Mirach target from Aberporth in West Wales and Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides which we have done since 1999. This involves demanding under slung work, being carried out on a daily basis up to 30nms range offshore and up to a sea state 6.

Other previous offshore activity included 5 year barge contract with British Aerospace in support of Royal Navy Vertical Launch Sea Wolf missile development program. The contract involved day and night passenger transfer operations offshore and the delivery of live missiles for firing. We have also provided miscellaneous shipping support from Milford Haven.

Veritair also provide UK & Europe wide helicopter charter and is currently used by the Welsh Assembly Government and other corporate clients for their VIP movements.

Since 1983 Veritair has been significantly involved in Police Air Support operations and are currently employed on UK Police Air Support contracts. Previous Police contracts include Dyfed Powys, Staffordshire, West Mercia, Gwent, South Wales and UK wide response for British Transport Police.
